Rhinebeck NY….. Hundreds of antique Hotrods, Custom and Muscle Cars (1977 and older) will be steering into the Dutchess County Fairgrounds on July 27 and 28. The show is hosted by the Hudson Valley Street Rods, a veteran group of over 40 years experience in hosting car shows, and will be held from 8am to 6pm on Friday, July 27 and 8am to 9pm on Saturday, July 28.
“ We have gotten very positive responses from car people all over New York, New Jersey, and as far as Pennsylvania, so we expect a great turn out for a first year show”, said Sparky Ferris, show organizer for the Dutchess County Fairgrounds and a long standing member of the Hudson Valley Street Rods.
A Car Corral featuring vehicles for sale of any year and a Swap Meet with inside and outside vendors offering a huge variety of automotive related items help round out the show. New product exhibitors including t-shirts, embroidered items and much more is presented in Bldg B and around the fairgrounds. Spectators can also enjoy an Artisan’s Alley, a special area displaying and selling custom hand-made crafts, jewelry and artworks from a variety of exhibitors.
Children’s activities include a Build and Go model car event. The Newburgh Model Car Collectors will run this booth for the kids and each child can build his own model car and take it home. They will also host a Model Car Competition during the Rhinebeck Nationals. Additionally, a vast array of tempting and delicious food will be available throughout the show.
Rhinebeck Nationals, Rod, Custom and Muscle Car Show will culminate on Saturday night with an awards ceremony of 100 trophies and live entertainment by the ‘Razorbacks’ on the grandstand stage. Other entertainment includes a walk-around Acapella Group from 10-3 each day and the ‘Pony Tales’ performing two sets each day on the stage.
Pre-registration for car show participants is $40. The cost is $45 the day of the event. This price includes 2 adult admissions and admission for the participant’s children under age 16. Participant registration starts at noon on Thursday the 26th.
Admission tickets for spectators are $12 per person ($2 Senior and Active Military Discount), Children 12-16 are $5 and all children under 12 are admitted free. Gates open from 8am to 6pm on Friday, July 27 and 8am to 9pm on Saturday, July 28.
