The film illustrates how, in uncertain times, Towns like ours – large and small – are ramping up their resilience and self-sufficiency by localizing their economies; growing their own food; setting up community power stations; re-skilling and skill sharing; exchanging ideas; being creative and inventive and engaging their local organizations, groups, businesses, neighbors, families and friends!
Transition is providing a powerfully effective counterpoint to present and future challenges from climate change and the economy that are all too upfront and personal for many of us. It’s an energizing and empowering social experiment designed to respond to the unknowns ahead with bright ideas, smart solutions and feisty optimism.
Woodstock Transition and Mountain View Studio have joined together to host “in Transition 2” at The Mountain View Studio, 20 Mountain View Avenue in Woodstock, for 4 dates in June: Wednesday 13,Friday 15, Saturday the 16 – 7:30 PM (doors open at 7:15PM) and Sunday June 17, 2012, 3:30 PM (doors open @3:25PM) Families are most welcome – Please join us for popcorn, inspiration exchanging ideas and more. Suggested donation is $5.00!
