Local Students Honored for Academic Achievement at The College of Saint Rose

ALBANY, NY (06/12/2012)(readMedia)-- The College of Saint Rose in Albany, NY, announced that the following local residents were among 113 students who were honored for outstanding academic achievement:

Artavius Fisher of Kingston, NY, received the Dr. Huey C. Bogan Award for Creativity in Teaching. The recipient of this award must be an outstanding graduate student who exemplifies the qualities of Dr. Bogan, including academic excellence, as well as creativity and passion for education.

Andrew VanDerpoel of Kingston, NY, received the Michael D. Normandin Innovative Computing Technology Award. This award is presented to a full-time undergraduate or graduate student majoring in computer information systems or music industry. Recipient must demonstrate ambition, enthusiasm and creativity in computer use to solve a problem.

The College of Saint Rose is a private, independent, coeducational, liberal arts college located in the heart of Albany, New York's capital city.
