V&T Stop Leads to Heroin Possession Arrest

On May 20, 2012, Troopers from SP Rhinebeck initiated a V&T Stop on a vehicle for an Improper Signal.  Upon confirming with a DMV check, it was determined that the driver, Jeffrey Prince, 22, of Saugerties, NY, had a suspended driver's license.  Additionally, heroin and a hypodermic needle were located in the vehicle. 
 
Mr. Prince was taken into custody and transported to SP Rhinebeck for processing.  He was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th Degree and Possession of a Hypodermic Instrument.  He was issued Appearance Tickets returnable in the town of Hyde Park Justice Court.
