On 7/13/12, the New York State Police at Catskill report the arrest of Matthew Vantassel, 26, of Catskill, NY, for the Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2nd, a class "C" felony and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th, a class "A" Misdemeanor.
Vantassel was arrested after the investigation into the Possession of a Semi-Automatic handgun originating from the State of Vermont, and was possessed in the town of Catskill.
He was arraigned before village of Catskill Justice William Wooten and remanded to the Greene County Jail.
