On May 22, 2012, at approximately 9:47 PM, the New York State Police, SP Albany, conducted a routine traffic stop in the town of Catskill on the New York State Thruway. The driver of the vehicle Bradley W. Stonge Jr. of Brandon, VT, was found to be in possession of a metal spoon containing heroin residue. The passenger of the vehicle, Craig T. Wallace, of Brooklyn, NY, offered a false name and was found to be in possession of 199 decks of heroin.
Stonge was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th degree, while Wallace was charged with False Personation and Criminal Possession of a Narcotic Drug in the 4th degree. Both subjects were arraigned in the Catskill Town court and remanded to Greene County correctional facility in lieu of $1,000 bail for Stonge and $20,000 bail for Wallace.
