Cadet Derek Stanley, son of Lisa and Kendall Stanley, Sr., graduated from the United States Military Academy on May 26th.
Stanley graduated from Saugerties High School in 2007. While at West Point, he concentrated his studies in Environmental Engineering and earned a trip to the NCAA National Wrestling Championships in St. Louis, MO. He will return to the USMA Prep School to coach the wrestling team for the second half of the season. In a private ceremony, he was commissioned as a second lieutenant in the U.S. Army within the Corps of Engineers and will report to Fort Richardson, Alaska for his first assignment.
