Janet L. Felton, 79, of East Side Hill Rd., died peacefully on Friday, May 18, 2012 at the Ten Broeck Commons Nursing Home after a courageous battle with cancer. Born January 17, 1933 in Saugerties, she was the daughter of the late Courtland and Edna Hill Shultis. A lifelong area resident she was a member of the Plattekill Reformed Church.
Survivors include her husband James, with whom she recently celebrated there 59th Anniversary. Three daughters, Sharon and her husband Richard Gambino of New Paltz, Lori and her husband, Douglas Egerton of Staatsburg and Lynne and her husband Daniel White of Catskill. One sister, Shirley Bagley, 8 Grandchildren: Sarah and Katherine Gambino, Kali, Andrew and Rebecca Egerton, Joshua, Serena and Olivia White. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Her Funeral Procession was Monday at the Seamon-Wilsey Funeral Home Inc. corner of John and Lafayette Sts., Saugerties thence to the Plattekill Reformed Church where at 11:00 AM Her Funeral Service was be conducted. Interment followed in the Mt. Marion Cemetery. Family suggests donations in her memory be made to the Plattekill Reformed Church.
