  • Woodstock Tango announces three days and two nights of Argentine Tango events in the Colony of the Arts, including a concert in association with Esopus Musicalia, with classes, workshops, gala social dance and performance by world-class artists Julio Bassan and Luiza Paes,  Friday, April 29 through Sunday May 1st.

  •   Woodstock Tango announces three days and two nights of Argentine Tango events in the Colony of the Arts, including a concert in association with Esopus Musicalia, with classes, workshops, gala social dance and performance by world-class artists Julio Bassan and Luiza Paes,  Friday, April 29 through Sunday May 1st.
      The weekend kicks off with a special live music concert at the Woodstock Artists Association Museum on Tinker Street, by the well-known chamber ensemble Esopus Musicalia. The evening begins with a Beginning Tango class by Ilene Marder, founder of Woodstock Tango, twice named the "Best Place to Learn Argentine Tango"  by Hudson Valley Magazine.
      On Saturday, acclaimed master dancer/teachers Julio Bassan and Luiza Paes will conduct afternoon workshops starting at 3pm, followed at 9pm by Woodstock Tango's Milonga Bohemia, a gala social dance, featuring performance by Julio and Luiza.  The milonga is a DANCE FOR JAPAN FUNDRAISER with proceeds going to the Lion's Club International to assist the people of Japan.
      A Men's and Womens' Tango Technique workshop takes place at 2p Sunday.
    Saturday and Sunday events take place at Mountain View Studio, 20 Mountain View Ave, Woodstock.  No partner necessary for any tango events.
